About the Job
Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a an Electrical/Automation Proposal Estimator on behalf of our client, a manufacturer based in Eastern Ohio. The right candidate will produce detailed technical specifications and estimates from RFQs by calculating estimates using your knowledge of machine design.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret electrical documents and schematic drawings
- Manage vendor pricing
- Create accurate cost estimates from start to finish
- Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits
- Creating clearly written proposals
- Handle contract and scope review
- Changes in order pricing
- Maintain good client relationships and follow-ups post-bid submission
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial estimating or relevant engineering experience
- Experience in machine design with understanding of automated systems
- Proficiency in MS Office Products
- AutoCAD is a plus
- Field service and system commissioning is a plus
