ACEI provides electrical engineering and design for a variety of building construction types, including commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare and institutional.
We have a position in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop and manage commercial building system design projects.
You will be working closely with other engineers and designers in a challenging and creative environment. Responsibilities include:
- Design of power, lighting, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems for both new construction and renovated commercial buildings
- Help lead in the production of drawings and specifications for construction documents in design/bid/build and design/build projects
- Manage assigned projects, including scheduling and giving direction to technical staff
- Coordinate with other disciplines, serving utilities, owners and contractors during both design and during construction
- Work with local and regional code officials
- Project cost estimating
Qualifications needed:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- 5-7+ years of experience in Electrical Design preferred
- Understanding of building electrical and low voltage systems
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and Energy Codes
- Ability to complete work on time
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience/familiarity with Revit or the ability and willingness to learn is desired.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Thursday (7-5pm), Friday (7-11am).
