Electrical CAD Technician at Inceed

Compensation: $22-26/hr
Location: Bloomington, Minnesota
Position: Electrical CAD Technician
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join their team! This role offers the chance to work on essential electrical design projects, focusing on revising existing drawings and creating new ones based on detailed sketches and instructions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in drafting and grow within a company that prioritizes accuracy and innovation. A strong foundation in drafting and CAD standards is essential, as this position will follow established procedures to support project teams across various disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Revisions: Update existing drawings and develop new component drawings from detailed verbal or written instructions and sketches.
• Plotting and Standards Compliance: Plot drawings accurately, adhering to established drafting standards and protocols.
• Learning and Development: Build expertise in the company’s drafting standards and processes while gaining exposure to practices within a selected discipline.
• Additional Duties: Support the team with additional tasks as needed to achieve project objectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrical design background; manufacturing background not applicable
• High school diploma with coursework in drafting technology or CAD certification orAssociate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design preferred
• Bachelor's degree in any engineering field not applicable for this position
• Entry-level role; zero to two years of professional drafting experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Previous internship or related consulting experience
• Proficiency in basic CAD system commands, with exposure to advanced commands and routines
• On-site availability with no remote or hybrid options offered
