About the Job
Selectek is partnering with a company located near Highland Park, Illinois to fill an Electrical Controls Engineer role. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to design panels and program servo motor systems for food processing equipment.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Expected Pay Range: $38-$52 per hour before conversion, depending on experience
Location: Highland Park, IL
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience working in PLC (RSLogix), HMI (FactoryTalk) programming and controls design
- Knowledge of SCADA
- Experience programming Servo motors
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
- UL 508A Standards compliance
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
- Design and layout controls panels in AutoCAD Electrical
- Write PLC code from a blank page
- Program machinery from concept to startup
- Oversee commissioning of new machinery
- Debug and troubleshoot machinery issues throughout the process
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule
Schedule: Monday Friday, normal work hours.
