About the Opportunity

Our busy and growing Atlanta, GA office is eagerly looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer.

Working with a group of professional peers who are committed to developing innovative designs for high-performance buildings, the Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in the production of great design work.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Maintain BIM/Revit and design files
• Ensure Introba design checklist is being followed
• Ensure Introba BIM/Revit Standards are being followed
• BIM/Revit drafting and design operations
• Electrical and/or Photovoltaic (PV) systems design layout
• Perform cable calculations
• Perform lighting calculations
• Apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes
• Perform accurate detailed site surveys
• Prepare panel schedules and equipment schedules
• Co-ordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design
• team (i.e. Architects, Structural Consultants, Code Consultants, Geotechnical Consultants, etc
• Co-ordinate service requirements/connections with the respective utility and/or municipal agencies
• Review and process drawings
• Provide construction administration services Compile design reports and presentations
• Attend site surveys with project manager/senior staff
  
  

To be successful in this role, we would like to see professionals with key skills and experience, including the following:

• Minimum 5 years design experience in LV, HV, control and lighting systems
• BS Architectural Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering degree required; or equivalent combination of relevant coursework and minimum 2+ years’ work experience required
• BIM/Revit experience is an asset
• Able to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision
• Able to apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes with minimal supervision
• Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT designations are highly preferred
