This person will be responsible for creating a one-line diagram, creating load analysis, creating panel schedules, researching product data sheets for various pieces of equipment to find the electrical information. Selecting/ specifying electrical equipment like switchboards/ panels/ transformer/ Lighting Controls.
This person will also be expected to answer questions about their design during the construction process to provide guidance and information to architects and contractors.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work. Master's degree preferred.
· 3+ years of electrical distribution engineering experience
· The target candidate will have experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems.
· Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
Performance Expectations
· Submit for approval and deliver timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staff
· Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence
· Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
· Manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required
· Complete other duties as required/assigned
· Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(75%-80% typical)
· Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks
· Chart and provide task performance results
· Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
· Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required
· Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
· Prepare inter-practice agreements and/or outside requests as required
· Provide technical project and staff oversight
· Serve as task manager on select projects
· Compare field data to base plan
· Conduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as needed
· Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approval
