We are seeking an Electrical Engineer in our Oak Creek, WI facility. The electrical engineer is key to the design and development of products aimed at VFD applications in the Oil and Gas industry. This role will provide technical direction, planning, and support on product implementation, detail design, certification, and design processes, and test equipment. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will assist product marketing, application engineering, manufacturing (global), training, and technical support in higher-level support and consulting requirements for priority projects. More specifically this role will:
- Contribute to planning to achieve Oil & Gas Drive Business goals and objectives.
- Create technical specifications and develop value added products (enclosures, panels, power options, etc.) for Oil & Gas drives applications.
- Create schematics, wire charts, BOMs, and technical documentation to define product design and functionality.
- Perform QC and other conformance type tests as required on products for Drives business.
- Assist in the transition of standard and value-added Drive products to production manufacturing.
- Manage incoming customer orders within the Oil & Gas Drives group.
- Participate in design reviews for valuable feedback on issues and enhancement.
- Continually monitor and improve the Product Development System as part of the company Quality Management System (QMS).
- Coordinate with project management between 3rd party service providers and vendors.
- Constantly challenge the status-quo to achieve substantial quantifiable improvements.
- Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
This position is very hands on and will allow you the opportunity to stand out and be recognized for your success. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, along with 5 or more years of experience. The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret and design electrical schematics, select components, create BOMs, interpret specifications, write test procedures, and operate required test equipment. Working knowledge of LV AC power distribution design and equipment, knowledge of Medium Voltage (2.3 kV to 15 kV) and Oil and Gas Drilling applications are preferred but is not required but beneficial.
