Responsibilities:
* Manage electrical design of projects, create designs and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute
assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role, handle multiple simultaneous projects in
wide variety of projects with both normal and emergency power distribution systems for educational,
industrial, health care, laboratory, commercial core and shell buildings and tenant interior fit-out projects
* Create Conceptual Designs gathered from meetings with the client for Field Engineer focus
* Prepare Construction Drawings, Specifications, Calculations, Cost Estimates, and perform field inspections
* Work with Management to respond to RFP's
* Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company
policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field
* Represent the company in project meetings as needed
* Autodesk Revit, experience preferred but not required, AutoCAD experience required
* Preferred working knowledge of word, excel, and windows
* Preferred working knowledge of SKM Power Tools Software for Fault/Coordination and Arc Flash Studies
* Preferred working knowledge of Light Pro Lighting Design Software
Qualifications:
* 5-15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Licensed Maryland PE Required, LEED AP a plus
* U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances.
* Ability to work in a team environment, Effective interpersonal skills
* Experience with Electrical Systems such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Switchgear,
Nurse Call Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Security System coordination desirable
* Experience working on complex facilities design or for Hospitals, Data Centers, Mission Critical projects
desirable
* Ability to successfully work independently
* Self Starter, self-motivated, and should prioritize well. Strong electrical building systems background
* Possess a current state-of-residence driver's license
