Role: Electrical Engineer The Electrical Engineer is a critical piece to our success in developing new products. Our client is looking for someone to infuse our product design with your ideas and experience. Your position as an Electrical Engineer is crucial to keeping our products current and marketable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Electrical design and development for next-generation products.
- Improvement of electrical design of existing products.
- Support existing product lines for alternate components due to part obsolescence.
- Engineering design verification, including, writing, and executing verification plans, and documenting results.
- Testing and evaluation for the co-existence of legacy and/or third-party products.
- Research design solutions for cost-effectiveness.
Basic Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience designing low-voltage digital and analog circuits.
- Experience developing electronic products that fit into custom enclosures.
- Experience with RF-based devices and systems.
- Ability to lay PCBs.
- Proficient at circuit modeling and schematic capture.
- Proficient in the use of spectrum analyzers, digital signal generators, and other test equipment to perform module and system-level testing.
- Proficient in translating product requirement specifications to design requirements and authoring engineering verification test plans.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with BLE, LF communication, and/or flex circuit design.
- Experience with the design and integration of single-chip, low-power wireless transceivers from TI, Silicon Labs, Freescale, Atmel, Analog Devices, Broadcom, Marvell, etc. is considered highly desirable.
- Experience integrating embedded software (firmware).
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and standards, such as UL and IEEE 802.14.
- Ability to solder components to bare PCBs.
