Electrical Engineer
Job Overview: Our client, a Premier MEP Engineering Services Firm on the outskirts of the city is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their thriving team. The selected candidate will be instrumental in various stages of project design and planning. This role involves representing the engineering team in professional settings, overseeing a group of designers and drafters, and potentially managing specific projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering tasks for various projects, ensuring coordination with project management and leadership teams.
- Oversee the design and production of electrical systems. This includes attending project-related meetings, conducting site surveys, collaborating with other professional disciplines, and preparing comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage the engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring technical accuracy in all contract documents.
- Collaborate with leadership for project conceptualization and completion, adhering to predetermined schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members on technical project elements.
- Ensure project work aligns with the initial proposal scope and budget constraints.
- Uphold rigorous standards in the Quality Assurance/Quality Control process, communicating effectively with the project manager.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
Qualifications:
- Must have over 3+ years experience to be considered for this role and come from a Construction background
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in electrical systems applicable to a variety of building types including commercial, institutional, medical, and large-scale residential projects.
- Familiarity with state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA codes.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with both staff and clients.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is an asset but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
