WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
This full-time role is based in Cary, NC, with frequent travel to client sites, amounting to approximately 75% of your time. You will have a flexible schedule tailored to meet project and client needs, ensuring our exceptional service standards are maintained.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
As an Electrical Engineer, your day will begin with reviewing technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and vendor literature. You will coordinate closely with project managers and engineers, planning logistics such as transportation and accommodations. Upon arriving at client sites, you will introduce yourself to the customer and contractors, attend safety briefings, and inspect work areas. Your responsibilities will include laying out dryer footprints, verifying installations, and ensuring all components meet Buhler's rigorous standards. Throughout the installation process, you will assist contractors, monitor their progress, and provide daily reports. You will also run client products through our equipment, verify operational performance, and adjust systems to optimize efficiency. Providing training to client personnel and finalizing projects with thorough checkouts will be key aspects of your role.
REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
- 3+ years of experience in installation
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and ladder logic
- Skills in setting and adjusting gas trains, burners, and actuators (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical power, control equipment, and programs
- Experience with various test and measurement equipment, including electrical/electronic test equipment, pressure measurement and control equipment, air and gas flow equipment, and moisture and humidity monitoring tools
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
