Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility
This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial automation and control systems
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a manufacturing environment and a deep understanding of electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities:
Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, and control panels.
Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and optimize performance.
Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Program and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs to control production processes.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimize production processes and improve overall plant efficiency.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming and installation
Experience in facilities engineering, including compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating, and cooling systems
Strong understanding of process control systems
Knowledge of power distribution up to 4160V preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Experience in the pulp and paper, plastics, or packaging industry preferred
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
