Company Overview:
Selectek is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong background in industrial power distribution systems. This role involves working on single and multi-discipline projects, focusing on low voltage (600V and below) and assisting in medium voltage (MV) power distribution systems. This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual capable of ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of all project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Project Design & Execution: Execute electrical engineering design for single and multi-discipline projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards, and serve in a Lead role as assigned.
- Technical Quality: Ensure technical accuracy and quality of project deliverables, including calculations and design efforts.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Achieve engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects.
- Low Voltage Design: Independently design low voltage (600V and below) industrial power distribution systems.
- Medium Voltage Assistance: Assist in designing MV power distribution systems, including selecting, specifying, and integrating MV equipment.
- Electrical Studies: Conduct short circuit/arc flash/coordination and load studies.
- Specification & Modification: Specify and design modifications for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), including single lines and MCC layouts.
- Cable Tray & Conduit Design: Design cable tray and conduit systems and specify low voltage distribution equipment.
- Construction & Client Interface: Support construction, startup, and commissioning efforts, interfacing with clients to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design work.
- Familiarity with EasyPower or SKM software for load studies.
- Industrial power distribution experience with the ability to specify power distribution equipment.
- Field exposure to various manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.
- Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industrial electrical codes.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
