Electrical Engineer Co-Op  

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Prepare project electrical specifications and summaries for front-end design packages;
• Work with the electrical designer to develop project drawings for electrical and control layouts as schematics and installation details;
• Review electrical and control vendor drawings;
• Support construction;
• Support the development of electrical instrumentation estimates for new projects;
• Support engineers in the development of electrical device specifications;
• Support the development of site power distribution and process control system design;
• Support the development of construction drawings and specifications;
• Support the development of electrical and controls checkout plans;
• Support project checkout and startup at the manufacturing site.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Good problem-solving skills;
• A high degree of personal initiative;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture;
• General knowledge of the National Electrical Code;
• No travel limitations;
• Agricultural background.
