Job DescriptionPA’s US Engineering group is dedicated to the design of highly integrated electromechanical systems. A unique technology development and engineering practice, we partner with global clients across industries, collaborating to develop solutions to vexing business challenges.

- Design, analyze, and validate electrical hardware including integration with complex mechanical components, for low volumes through mass production.
- Write robust embedded firmware and connect it with user-facing software in Python, C# or similar packages to enhance early version hardware.
- Manage, mentor, and direct cross-disciplinary teams to conduct research, brainstorm, prototype, test, analyze, document, and present work to clients; and guide teams to win follow-on work.
- Share insights on promising directions for new client opportunities, provide technical support for new business development, and devise and execute strategies to meet project and client goals.

Qualifications- BS (MS a plus) in electrical engineering or a related field and 12+ years' experience developing complex, technical, or integrated products.
- Experience solving tough problems within more than one of the following areas: analog and digital electrical design, RF design, firmware architecture, embedded systems design, firmware or software development, controls, instrumentation and measurement, and power supply engineering. Mastery in a few is a plus.
- Proficiency with firmware development tools (CCS, MPLAB or similar), software development tools (C#, Python, or similar) and/or electrical hardware design tools (Altium, PADS, EAGLE, or similar).
- Experience making connections with technical stakeholders to ensure project and product successes.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PA Consulting, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $138k - $180k.
