We are currently seeking a diversly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer - Contractor to support contract projects as the need arises.
As an electrical engineer contractor, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to identify product requirements and technical specifications.
- Deliver design solutions within schedule and budget constraints, ensuring high-quality and reliable hardware products.
- Utilize analog and digital signal processing techniques in the design of hardware systems for medical, manufacturing and IoT platforms.
- Initiate new lines of test tools for wireless power products, contributing to product testing and validation efforts.
- Serve as a key contributor to RF design and antenna tuning for various communication protocols including sub-GHz, BLE, WiFi, and 4G-LTE.
- Develop embedded firmware for bare-metal systems using microcontrollers such as PIC16-24, dsPIC, MSP430, STM32, and Nordic, focusing on power management, sensor interfacing, and real-time digital signal processing.
- Design power applications including power converter topologies, LED drivers, battery management circuits, and solar panel maximum power tracking solutions.
- Implement RF communications solutions using BLE, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE CAT-1, LoRA, and sub-GHz ISM band RF modules, ensuring robust wireless connectivity.
- Experienced creating sensors, pneumatics controllers, pressure sensor signal processors, etc.
- Design miscellaneous hardware applications such as capacitive sensor arrays, amplifiers, and motor drivers to meet specific project requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on analog and digital signal processing, embedded firmware development, and RF communications.
- Strong proficiency in hardware design tools and methodologies.
- Experience with microcontroller programming in C, Python, and Matlab.
- Knowledge of power applications including power converter topologies, LED drivers, and battery management circuits.
- Familiarity with wireless power technologies and RF communication protocols.
- Experience with medical device design is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
