The successful candidate will also support continuous improvement initiatives, project execution, and maintain high production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all equipment aligns with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
- Budget Management: Assist in tracking engineering expenses and ensure capital budgets are adhered to.
- Project Support: Aid in the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of both new and existing equipment and facilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Use improvement tools to analyze product inconsistencies, recommend solutions, and facilitate cost-reduction initiatives.
- Data Analysis: Identify performance issues through data and technical evaluation and contribute to waste reduction strategies.
- Project Preparation: Assist with cost estimation, project justification, budget preparation, design review, and oversee installation and commissioning.
- EHS Compliance: Work with various teams to uphold environmental, health, and safety protocols.
- Contractor Oversight: Aid in managing contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in electrical engineering within a manufacturing or similar setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting and creating technical schematics.
- Ability to design and understand electrical control systems.
- Ability to be onsite in Danville, Virginia fulltime for this role
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in project engineering or project management.
- Knowledge of modern safety control systems.
