Electrical Engineer
Location – Houston, TX
Duration – 3 months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
• Consultant will apply their knowledge in electrical engineering to develop embedded hardware and firmware for downhole tools
• Work as integral part of multi-discipline team including project management, mechanical engineering, assembly & test and software teams.
• Participate in developing and analyzing design requirements
• Investigate problems in design, recommend and implement solutions
• Execute designs and test plans to ensure systems meet written specifications and requirements for functionality and performance
Basic Qualifications:
• BS in Electrical Engineering. MS is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired/Preferred Qualifications (some or all of the following):
• Experience in analog and mixed signal circuit design including:
o Understanding of signal integrity principles and noise reduction techniques
o Fluency with PCB schematic and circuit simulation programs
o Familiar with PCB layout and its effect on circuit performance
o Experience with signal conditioning/analog filtering
o Familiar with ADCs and conversion protocols
o Sensor interface circuit design
• Understanding of data acquisition instrumentation and methods
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Matlab, Mathcad, etc.
• Experience in downhole tool design is a plus
