Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our team in Syracuse, NY. In this role, the Engineer will provide electrical engineering services on substation, and associated auxiliary systems for AIS and GIS substations.

Electrical Engineer II services include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduit / duct bank routing and design
- Conduit / trench / cable tray layout, including fill calculations in accordance with NEC
- Substation ground grid design
- Low voltage power distribution system design, including AC / DC panel schedules, load balancing, cable ampacity verification and equipment specification
- Outdoor flood-light (illumination) design per NESC.
- Work with the project lead engineer to develop the Design Criteria and the Document Deliverables list for the project.
- Work with the project lead engineer to develop single line diagrams, layout & section drawings and BOMs for the substation design packages.
Qualifications & Skills::
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical design required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong communication and data processing skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Past project experience working with large utilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Projects, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.
The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
