Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our construction management team.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering or architecture, as well as at least 5 years of experience with building electrical codes and systems in a construction setting, including medium voltage (about 600 volts), fire alarms, cathodic protection, and radio frequency.
This position will be full-time, On-site in Jersey City, New Jersey.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviewing electrical engineering documents, calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards.
- Coordinating review comments from other technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments.
- Attending meetings with Architect/Engineer of Records to discuss and review comments and resolve any issues.
- Assign various technical disciplines for code review.
- Perform related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering or architecture
- At least 5 years of experience with building electrical codes and systems in a construction setting, including medium voltage (about 600 volts), fire alarms, cathodic protection, and radio frequency.
- Proper understanding of electrical disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities
- Experience acting as an intermediary between tenants & facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow
- Professional Engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Autocad, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant construction software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
