**Summary:**
Responsible for the electrical PCB hardware and wiring design support and electrical/electronic packaging. Including optimizing for assembly & manufacturing while obtaining a fully featured product with the lowest cost. The target is a globally manufactured and marketed actuation product platform.
**RESPONSIBLILITES:**
+ Perform or manage electronics design and development including analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, functional validation and verification testing.
+ Maintain BOMs for electronic circuit boards currently in production. This includes resolving parts obsolescence, component analysis, component testing, and finding cost reductions.
+ Manage 2-D wiring or cad drawings of electrical components part of the main assembly or supporting assemblies.
+ Design challenges include micro-controller based designs, electronic/electrical packaging, motors, analog circuitry, and power electronics.
+ Perform tests on new or redesigned PCBs, including functional tests, EMC/EMI tests, and certification testing.
+ Individually and/or as Project Team Participant or Leader, design, model, analyze, fabricate and test valves for customer orders, new product designs, and prototypes in a thorough and timely manner. Investigate engineeringimprovement considerations and make appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
+ Provide manufacturing with documentation for bills of material, product support, and product design procedures.
+ Review, check, and approve or certify the work of other designers and engineers. Train other engineers and associates in assigned technical subjects and process procedures.
+ Assist manufacturing with new production. Provide production and field support of new and redesigned products during the development and launch stages. Provide technical assistance to Sales and Marketing for new products.
+ Provide technical support to all areas of Flowserve globally with regards to actuation technology.
+ Ensure the quality and integrity of all products and components through thorough design validation and strict adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
+ Thoroughly document projects, designs, test procedures, test results, etc, while ensuring they are executed to achieve cost and time goals.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with focus on Electrical PCB Design.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience with electrical design and development.
+ PCB Schematic and Layout (Altium a plus)
+ Analog/Digital designs
+ C/C++ programming experience (a plus)
+ Design for manufacturing and assembly
+ Understanding of wiring diagrams
+ Familiarity with electric actuators a plus.
+ Knowledge of embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART) a plus
+ Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet) a plus
+ Familiarity with design and operation of AC and DC electric motors a plus
+ Hands-on experience with single-phase and three-phase electric systems a plus
+ Must be U.S. citizen, NOFORN required.
+ 0-10% occasional domestic or international travel
