The NISC IV group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Electrical Engineer to work in our Oklahoma City, OK office. The ideal candidate Will be required to follows established Federal Aviation Administration engineering process and supervisory instructions for maintaining systems and facilities, completes basic and routine (but progressively more difficult) assignments under the close supervision of a manager, project/program manager, or more experienced engineer to identify and analyze problems or system malfunctions, and supports the development and implementation of solutions such as modifications and integrating new sites and technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the Industrial Financial Solutions (IFS) parts ordering system
- Provide support in keeping system components entered and updated accurately in IFS for Bills of Materials, Parent/Child Structure and setup properly to allow proper processing from warehouse to shops and back as well as allowing for repairs or build from components to stocking through Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops
- Provide support in working with Equipment Specialist as well as the Item Manager to ensure part(s) setup is complete
- Provide support to maintain proper Configuration Management (CM) and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) for Baseline of assigned systems
- Provide support to write Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) in order to maintain proper baseline of assigned systems that would include testing systems, once on-boarded
- Provide support to write Issue Requests (IR) in order to bring awareness of system, or other issues, from the field that may need to be addressed e.g. drone components that may lead to a baseline change
- Provide support in collaboration with other Branch engineering resources to ensure all system requirements are met
- Provide support for gathering, interpreting and utilizing Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data from Vendors on assigned systems on monthly intervals
- Provide support to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on highest failure components and recommend and implement Corrective Action to address high failure items
- Participate in Obsolescence reviews of components on assigned system (including supply chain issues) and make (a) recommendation(s) for replacement(s) or alternative(s)
- Provide support to actively participate in Integrated Product Team(s) for assigned systems
- Provide support to Logistics Management System (LMS) and Integrated Logistics Support Management (ILSM) in development of regularly scheduled Sustainment and Supportability Reviews (annually and bi-annually) on assigned systems
- Provide support to write Process Instructions, Work Instructions, and Maintenance Manuals for system support and processing
- Provide support for the transition of Linear ground detection system move to organic support by FAALC
- Perform trend analysis, engineering testing, writing technical/management reports, root cause analysis, and recommending improvements to the design or operation of systems, equipment, or processes as it relates to FAALC, FAA and Customs and Inter-Agency projects.
- Prepares periodic written reports for FAALC management.
- Applies experience and knowledge of general and specific engineering principles, theories, and concepts to existing or proposed projects to satisfy customer needs/requirements.
- Develop plans and techniques to improve programs and policies including reverse engineering projects.
- Apply knowledge of different engineering disciplines to develop, integrate and implement solutions to diverse, complex problems.
- Provides engineering support of large projects and monitors resources to accomplish complex engineering tasks which may involve supporting several projects requiring a diverse engineering discipline simultaneously.
- Performs closely with other Product Divisions and other group managers to implement FAALC business goals, engineering requirements, policies and procedures that are required to support FAA and Inter-Agency systems and subsystems.
Basic Qualifications:
- The candidate must have an Electrical Engineer/Electrical Engineer Technology bachelor’s degree.
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time to other locations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust background investigation.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
