Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description:
As a senior electrical engineer, you will lead the design, evaluation, and compliance of electrical systems for various projects, such as data centers, power plants, hospitals, and more. You will also coordinate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration and execution of the projects. You will also mentor junior engineers, manage budgets and schedules, and represent the company professionally.
Responsibilities:

Design, evaluate, and comply with electrical systems, including power distribution, backup generation, fuel cells, grounding, lightning protection, and more

Develop and assess system concepts and design solutions that align with project requirements and client satisfaction

Create and oversee electrical design drawings and specifications, incorporating equipment selection and layout

Perform and provide technical guidance on electrical system analysis, reports, studies, and cost estimates

Collaborate and coordinate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle

Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, technicians, and support staff

Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss design approach, changes, challenges, and value engineering

Distribute and coordinate approved drawings and specifications with other design team members

Foster collaboration with construction project managers, commissioning agents, fabrication teams, and installation crews

Attend design team meetings, manage design manpower budgets, and provide updates and proposals

Manage the internal electrical critical systems group and ensure project execution and technical oversight

Represent the company professionally and contribute to the firm’s growth and success

Provide training and mentorship to junior electrical team members

Stay updated with industry trends and developments

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program

10+ years of experience in electrical systems design for large scale critical systems
-
Proficiency with Revit by Autodesk and SKM Tools
-
Experience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software (desired)

PE licensure
-
Ability to travel to client sites and conferences in North America and Latin America

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
