Position Overview:
We are looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with electrical engineering expertise in the MEP consulting field. This role involves designing, analyzing, and supervising the implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, collaborative, and capable of overseeing multi-disciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage solutions, for various building types.
- Perform load calculations, energy efficiency analysis, and system reliability assessments.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to provide integrated MEP solutions.
- Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and design reports.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project conditions, monitor construction, and address field issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local building codes, and other relevant standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm’s knowledge-sharing culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in MEP consulting or electrical engineering design.
- Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and ETAP.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
