This internship will directly support HEKA in developing technologies and concepts to support the company’s current and new business opportunities. This internship is an unpaid-to-paid opportunity. Relocation and lodging expenses will not be provided. All interns are subject to a 3-week probationary period.
What you’ll do:
- Circuit Design, PCB design and layout
- Hardware design trouble shooting and testing
- Analyze electrical requirements
- Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers
- Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- Work in the electronics lab alongside other engineers
- Other duties as assigned
What you need:
- Actively pursuant or recently awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Ability to learn Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and track processes to completion
- A problem-solving constitution with a curious mind for discovery, coupled with self-discipline and an intrinsic drive for continuous self-improvement.
- U.S. Citizenship
Nice to have:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant coursework
- Experience with design tools such as HFSS, CST, MATLAB, GRASP, Altium
- Software development experience in Python and C
