Electrical Estimator - Commercial Construction ($1M - $5M Projects)

One of our top clients is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing pre-construction team. You will play a vital role in the success of our commercial construction projects, ranging from $1 million to $5 million in value.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and competitive electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review and analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify electrical system requirements.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment needs for each project.
- Obtain and negotiate competitive quotes from electrical subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Develop and maintain electrical cost databases.
- Assist with the development of conceptual budgets and project proposals.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings with project teams and clients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes.
- Proficiency in electrical construction materials, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and estimating software (a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
