L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Electrical Field Engineer.
Assist project team with the preparation of detailed work plans and execution of assigned tasks in the field, including technical oversight and resolution of problems arising during task execution.

- Prepare procedures and work plans for completing assigned tasks. Assigned tasks may include field inspections and tests, or the fabrication, installation, and/or modification of electrical systems and components.
- Initiate required site permits and support completion of Job Hazards Analyses.
- Assist supervisors and lead technicians in pre-job worker briefings.
- Provide oversight and technical direction to safely accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with established designs.
- Coordinate resolution of technical problems and issues with design authorities by applying prior CAD experience (e.g. Engineering Change Notices).
- Inspect completed work against design requirements and advise Cognizant Engineer of its acceptability.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in construction, operations, or maintenance at nuclear power plants or research laboratories.
- Demonstrated experience in the area of instrumentation/controls.
- Frontline field work experience in previous positions.
- CAD skills, specifically AutoCAD or Creo. Creo is highly preferred.
- Strong written communications skills, including the preparation of technical procedures.
- Ability to work under highly disciplined controls and stringent safety environments.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate with supervisor, co-workers, and front-line workers.
