Responsibilities
- Designs, installs, and maintains all electrical equipment and installations in the Region to insure that all operations are safe, profitable and efficient.
- Conducts all operations in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
- Makes repairs as required and oversees third party services when necessary to utilize.
- Diagnose problems with all of Citation’s electrical equipment within the Region.
- Recommends improvements to supervisor.
- Familiar with prices of goods and services from all available vendors in Region to insure Citation receives best value.
- Maintain working relationship with representatives of electrical power companies.
- Evaluate company operations in an effort to increase production by eliminating electrical downtime and lower operating costs.
- Monitors monthly electrical bills and reports any discrepancies to Senior Electrical Foreman.
- Signs and dates field tickets related to all electrical work.
Qualifications
- High School education or G.E.D.
- 5 years experience as a commercial electrician.
- Employment contingent upon a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
- Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
- Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
- Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.
Physical Requirements
- Job duties require working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
- Climbing stairs 20ft in height while wearing breathing apparatus.
- Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment.
- Lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling required.
