Chemours is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team! This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager at our Louisville Works site in Louisville, KY location.
This role performs engineering assignments (production, maintenance, process, capital projects, etc.) involving the application of established electrical & instrumentation (E&I) technology and principles. This work often requires coordination with other engineering and functional competencies to provide economical and expedient task implementation. This role may also be assigned to lead the E&I function associated with major capital projects and will also lead commissioning, startups, and troubleshooting activities.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to improve effectiveness of the manufacturing facilities.
+ Support the performance and improvement of the site electrical distribution system.
+ Support the performance and improvement of the site instrumentation and electrical equipment.
+ Implement small and large projects as needed to replace, improve or add to the site instrumentation and electrical equipment.
+ Develop preventive and predictive programs for the E&I scope
+ Participate in project teams and all activities related to E&I technical support.
+ Conduct field assessments and audits on E&I equipment.
+ Lead and implement all Chemours standard/policy related to E&I installations and maintenance.
+ Lead RCFA pertaining to electrical and instrumentation equipment.
The following is required for this role:
+ Minimum of a BS degree Electrical Engineering or related field of study
+ Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer
+ Experience with basic electrical and instrumentation design and installation (motors, motor starters, drives, soft-starters, instrumentation, etc.)
+ Knowledgeable in the measurement of flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH and conductivity
+ Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
+ Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
The following is preferred for this role:
+ 5+ years of Electrical Engineering work experience in a chemical manufacturing process or in the oil & gas industry
+ PLC Experience
+ Experience with a Honeywell Distributed Control System
+ Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification.
