Position Overview: We are seeking mid-senior level Electrical Maintenance Technicians who will play a key role in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial equipment. Safety is the top priority, and this position requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of the job, including adherence to safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely troubleshoot and repair 480V motors and electrical controls
- Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill machinery and systems
- Propose and implement solutions to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime
- Ensure consistent adherence to safety regulations, working in accordance with all safety procedures
- Work as part of a team to resolve technical issues, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
- Provide weekend, holiday, and overtime availability as needed, including working on rotating shifts
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems, particularly 480V motors and controls
- Strong communication skills with an ability to work well within a team
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive in addressing equipment issues
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving operational efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory
- 2 or 4-year degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Experience in the steel or metals industry
