Electrical Operations General Manager - BESCO

BESCO is hiring! We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee our Knoxville Electrical operations. Our ideal candidate has 12+ years experience in electrical construction, project financials and employee management. Candidate must be proficient in understanding profit/loss, complex project budgets and project strategy.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversight of multiple electrical divisions, including profit & loss, budgeting, scheduling
• Manage multiple projects including budgeting, estimating (when required) and scheduling, and participate in design/assist budgeting activities when required by project.
• Strategic planning to establish and execute successful project completion by establishing objectives and formulating realistic action plans, policies and processes.
• Implementation and monitoring of Management System policies, practices and procedures for construction operations.
• Responsible for the overall management and execution of the work in terms of safety, project management, schedule, cost, manpower, client communications and finance.
• Oversee all aspects of change management process (i.e. change orders).
• Identify, manage and mitigate any project risks throughout project lifecycle
• Responsible for management of claims and settlement of claims
• Reviews and monitors job cost status with project staff on a weekly basis to ensure that revenue data, cost data and productivity trends are up to date and accurate.
• Responsible for the reporting and forecasting of revenues, costs and profit status for each construction project.
• Ensure that clients are being promptly advised of all extra work, claims and change orders related to each project.
• Participate in and conduct staff/management meetings
• Complete annual performance reviews for direct reports and give regular feedback

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

• 12+ years’ experience in electrical construction.
• Knowledge with Accubid software is preferred.
• Adept at multi-tasking in fast paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes
• Able to work independently and across multiple teams and levels within and outside of the organization and also take initiative on projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
