Electrical Panel Builder/Engineer
Location: Central FL
Primarily responsible for the design and testing of electrical power & control systems for energy process equipment, reviewing system requirements & specs, choosing requisite component parts, and creating the technical materials required for product assembly and submission to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing, building, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing UL508A electrical panels
• Perform preliminary identification/selection/validation of components for projects per material specifications & requirements.
• Determine sources & costs for all project system components.
• Communicate with external vendors for non-inventoried materials & supplies.
• Participate in the bidding process, estimate scope of work, and project schedules related to the job.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and technical personnel in defining the scope of work and specifications.
• Strictly adhere to all applicable electrical standards.
• Assist as needed with technical compliance during final design, procurement, and construction approval.
• Documentation/reporting of all project activity via ERP system (EPICOR knowledge preferred).
• Approximately 5 - 10% domestic travel involved (mostly southeastern US)
Qualifications/Requirements:
• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in design, construction, installation, and troubleshooting of UL508A panels required.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, specifications, drawings, P&IDs, etc.
• Understanding of process piping for energy industry electrical standards
• Practical knowledge of of MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Siemens/UL NX all desirable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Electrical instrumentation knowledge is a plus.
Shift:
• First (Mon - Fri 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
