Electrical Preconstruction Manager - SOLV Energy, LLC

Job Description Summary:
The Electrical Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for constructability review of electrical design, value-engineering and pre-construction coordination of electrical components for utility scale renewable energy projects.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Electrical System Constructability Coordination
  
  • Collaborate with SOLV Engineering, Estimating, Preconstruction Project Management, Field Operations, and Field Installation teams, along with the electrical, structural, and civil engineers of record, to optimize electrical and structural project designs for utility-scale solar projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and contractual project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers and drafters to develop detailed installation drawings for field installation applications.
• Bill of Material
  
  • Coordinate with SOLV Estimating teams to generate accurate Bill of Material (BOM) and material take-offs for electrical components, ensuring project specifications and budgets are met.
  • Assist the Procurement and Preconstruction Project Management teams with material RFPs.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement and Preconstruction Project Management teams to source and procure required materials in a timely manner while ensuring project materials are delivered to site in alignment with the project schedule.
  • Provide value engineering suggestions for alternative products and solutions that can meet the project requirements while reducing costs.
• QA/QC
  
  • Know and understand all project design requirements (SOLV requirements, owner/contract requirements, and permit requirements).
  • Perform quality control checks to verify that designs and installation drawings meet project requirements as well as company standards for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication
  
  • Work closely with cross-function teams including internal and external engineers, estimators, project managers, pre-construction project managers, procurement specialists, and construction teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, Independent Engineers (IEs), vendors and other stakeholders to address design inquires and ensure project success.

• Minimum (2) Years of in-field experience installing Utility Scale Solar preferred
• Proficient in BlueBeam and/or AutoCAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes and requirements
• Ability to read and understand civil/electrical/structural plans
• Detailed oriented
• Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously
• Effective organizational skills
• High aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
• Strong sense of urgency

Compensation Range:

$ 111,883.20 - $165,000.00
