Electrical Project Manager - Electrical GC - Base Salary to 130k/year - San Diego, CA
- Our client is an Electrical GC that specializes in government contracted public works and military base projects throughout Southern California and Arizona, specifically San Diego and Yuma areas. While they generally work in low voltage Division 26, they do handle the more complex side of that, such as power upgrades, underground electrical pathways, and installation of new switch gear and transformers.
- In this role, the Electrical Project Manager will be working primarily out of the San Diego office, in Sorrento Valley (also hiring for the Yuma, AZ office). The Electrical Project Manager will need to manage multiple electrical construction and maintenance projects worth anywhere from 150k to 6 million dollars. The Electrical Project Manager must understand all aspects of Division 26 electrical work, including for government projects, as well as being able to work from the office and in the field (this role is 75/25 office vs field time).
Responsibilities:
- Manage government electrical projects from inception to completion
- Estimate electrical construction and maintenance projects using Procore and Bluebeam
- Schedule multiple prevailing wage electrician crews
- Handle budgeting, contracts, and invoicing for projects
- Monitor work both from in the office and in the field (75/25)
- Communicate with Superintendents, PMs, subcontractors, and clients throughout the course of projects
- Be the main point of contact with the client, including for contracts, pricing, scheduling, and invoicing
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, etc.
- Implement appropriate safety processes
- Document all processes appropriately
- Manage government / public works project documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years field experience in Electrical construction
- 2+ years experience in Electrical Project Management, or at least Superintendent experience with the ability to work in office
- Ability to manage the entirety of Projects, and generate Estimates
- Thorough knowledge of electrical work, with experience in the field and preferably the office
- Ability to perform budgeting, contracts, invoicing, estimating
- Proficiency in MS Office and general tech-savvy skillset
- Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred
- Ability to work in the San Diego or Yuma office, as well as in the field
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 90k - 130k/year range
- Health insurance covered 100% for employee (50% for dependents)
