Project Manager (Electrical)
PTS is looking for an experienced Project Engineer who has a strong background in Electrical work to join our team in support of a O&G client in the Refinery Industry. This will be a long-term vested assignment with possibility of hire on direct with our client. The Electrical Project Manager will provide and coordinate electrical engineering services for engineering projects to ensure that the electrical portion of projects is on schedule, under budget, safe, reliable, and energy efficient. This role provides electrical engineering, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting services to the Maintenance Department to ensure maximum reliability and safety of the Refinery Electrical System. You will also provide electrical engineering assistance to Operations to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of the Refinery power generation and distribution system. Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Per Diem: May be eligible for candidates outside of local area
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Some Weekends- if needed)
Hours: 40-50 hours per week
Duration: 12 months will extend (possibility of hire on)
Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering services for projects
- Perform project manager/engineer duties on capital electrical projects
- Oversee all phases of electrical work on capital projects
- Assist Operations and Maintenance during major electrical system disturbances
- Participate in incident investigations and generate reports or failure analyses
- Liaise between CP&L and Refining Company
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Electrical Engineering (Strongly Preferred)
- In Lieu of Bachelors, High School Diploma with 7 years of Electrical Project Management Experience (Required)
- PMP Certification (Preferred)
- At least 5 years of related experience (Required)
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical distribution, industrial cogeneration, and large project execution needed
- Experience in electrical distribution and project execution
- Proven ability in protective relay coordination and testing
- Ability to work in a refining or petrochemical setting preferred
- Electrical distribution experience up to 69KV
- Industrial cogeneration experience above 10MW
- Experience in large project execution, both engineering and field construction
- Protective relay coordination, application, and testing
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications
- Experience in a refining or petrochemical environment preferred
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
