Electrical Project Manager - Schaeffer Electric Co., Inc.

COMPANY is looking to hire an individual with the flexibility and experience to be a Project Manager for projects of various sizes and complexities. This position requires a self-motivated individual who brings a strong work ethic and is results-driven.

Responsibilities:

• Follow a project through to completion on all types of construction including but not limited to hospitals, schools, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings.

Day-to-day tasks include:

• Perform estimates/change orders in McCormick Estimating Software.

• Work with the prefabrication team to create drawings for efficient implementation.

• Procure subcontractors, based on pre-determined requirements, to manage through completion of construction.

• Collaborate with the team to prepare, review, and monitor information and reports related to all costs involved in the project budget.

• Manage sub-contractor relationships, including initial scope and proposal review, and develop final proposals based on agreed scopes of work.

• Develop plans to comply with and report on Minority Business Entity requirements for the project, as required.

• Collaborate with developers, subcontractors, municipal entities, equipment suppliers, and site-specific construction suppliers to develop a timeline for delivery and completion of milestones prior to project start-up.

• Coordinate manpower requirements throughout the project and develop plans for manpower to meet the budget.

Experience:

• Electrical and building code knowledge.

• College degree or industry experience.

• Background with RFIs, cost estimates, hard bids, negotiating, material take-offs, and reading blueprints is a plus.

• Ability to layout branch circuiting; read and understand contract documents, drawings, and specifications is a plus.

• Understanding of general electrical design and engineering concepts and a general knowledge of electrical material costs is a plus.
