As an Electrical Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will play a critical role in the planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. This is a permanent full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Senior Estimator to join our fast-paced construction team. As an Electrical Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will play a critical role in the planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. This is a permanent full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand the project scope.
- Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
- Analyze and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors to ensure a high-quality and timely estimate.
- Review final estimates and finalize pricing with the project management team.
- Evaluate and consider possible cost savings and/or cost risk items in the preparation of bids.
- Prepare and present the final bid package to senior management with all backup information for approval.
- Assist in the transition of a project from the estimating phase to the construction phase.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient with Estimating software and spreadsheets; knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of electrical construction processes.
- Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff to complete projects to the highest standards.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best possible price for services and materials.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- A proactive problem solver, able to work on their own initiative.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
