About the Job
Akkodis is seeking an Electrician for a Contract job with a client in Lexington, NC. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, as well as managing the installation and testing of electrical control equipment.
Rate Range: $30/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Electrician job responsibilities include:
Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components in commercial and industrial machinery.
Diagnosing electrical or mechanical malfunctions, determining root causes, and implementing corrective measures.
Developing wiring diagrams, and layout drawings, and assisting in engineering modifications or system expansions.
Managing and testing experimental motor control devices, control panels, and programmable controllers.
Planning and directing periodic electrical testing and maintenance, including scheduling personnel.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards, including site-specific and electrical safety policies.
Maintaining accurate records of electrical testing, maintenance, and project documentation.
Managing tools, materials, and inventory to ensure timely project completion.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an Apprenticeship Program preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
Must possess a State Master & Journeyman License.
Certification in maintaining and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
