Regional Utilities Of Walton County is proud to serve over 18,000 customers. Regional Utilities provides water and/or sewer service for a large portion of South Walton County.Analyzes blue prints and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems for all wastewater plants, lift stations, water plants, wells, etc. Diagnosis causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or system repair. Installs and repairs electrical components. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for lift stations. Works under the supervision of Maintenance Manager.
Fabricates, installs, checks, and repairs electrical equipment and/or instrumentation systems, such as general power circuits (DC and AC single and 3-phase at voltages from 0-13,600V or 15KV), complex pump controls and circuitry, flow pressure and weight measuring systems, monitoring and control instrumentation including programmable logic controllers (PLC) and radio-transmitted supervisory control, and/or data acquisition systems (SCADA).
Installs, maintains, and/or repairs complex electrical control systems, power distribution systems, and/or high and low voltage switching systems and equipment.
Installs, maintains, and repairs heavy electric motors (AC and DC), motor control devices, variable frequency drives (VFD), DC drives, and/or magnetic drives. Configures microprocessor-based instruments.
Responds to emergency and trouble calls, locates and identifies the cause and performs corrective actions as required.
All other duties as assigned.
Proven experience in instrumentation, measurement and control, electronics, electrical, and/or mechanical or related field which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and weather events as scheduled or needed in accordance with departmental policies.
Applicants must have:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Possession of a valid Driver License
