SMV Recruiting is currently looking for a Licensed Electrician to work for our client in West Hartford, CT. This client is seeking an Electrician to work on production equipment around the manufacturing facility. In addition, they're seeking someone who will be tasks with projects and PMs as assigned including light repairs around the facility, as needed. This is a direct hire role with the ability to work over time, great benefits and very competitive pay!
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, rewiring and maintenance on production equipment in the manufacturing facility
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis and repair on electrical components on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic parts of production equipment
- Electrically repair production equipment including hydraulic presses, rolling mills, extruders and CNC machines
- Utilize blueprints, ladder logic, schematics to repair when nessessary
- Perform electrical maintenance on gear boxes, motors, hoists, pumps and engines
- Complete electrical projects around the facility as assigned
- Utilize correct tools to perform electrical repair and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall electrical/maintenance process
- Comply with safety guidelines and OHSA regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of related experience inlcuding 4+ years apprencieship and 3+ years of in field experience
- 3-5+ years experience working in a manufacturing/industrial/warehouse environment (not residential electrician experience)
- Must have a E1 or E2 Electrician's License vaild in the state of Connecticut
- Experience programming PLCs is strongly preferred
- Experience working on hydraulic Minster presses and CNC equipment is highly preferred
