Electro-Optic Surveillance Engineer - Serco North America

Showcase your expertise in designing and implementing remote server system software with recent software development experience in C, C++/Boost, shell-scripting, TCP networking and Linux system programming. Join our Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) team supporting Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) command. 

In this role, you will:

• Maintaining existing Windows-based surveillance software systems.
• support Code 56740, NIWC Pacific 
• Providing support for new sensor devices.
• Implementing new features for product releases of that system.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Bachelors in Engineering or related field.
• An active Secret clearance. 
• 5-7 years of experience in optical communications systems and in underwater systems. 
• A current valid U.S. passport is required.
• Extensive experience with C, C++, Boost libraries, TCP networking, and Linux-based system development and deployments.
• Able to work with minimum supervision under a variety of conditions.
• Minimum 25% travel CONUS/OCONUS

Preferred requirements:

• Managed releases of Linux-based systems and transitioned Windows-based systems to Linux
• Familiar with Linux writing Linux-based code for new software.
