Job Title: Electronic Design Test Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing test concepts and proposals that exhibit a high degree of creativity, functional simplicity and overall design excellence.
- Develop test plans and requirements matrix.
- Designing cost-effective test fixtures and equipment, and defining specifications and procedures for testing new products which exceed customer expectations.
- Assemble, bring-up, and debug new electronic designs for test equipment.
- Documenting Test Procedures.
- Perform Verification and Validation activities, to include Gage R&R reports.
- Transition test solutions from a development to a sustaining production environment.
- Technically communicate well with internal and external customers and vendors.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College in Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline with a mechatronics concentration.
- Minimum 10 years of functional test hardware development experience is required.
- Strong proficiency in Schematic analysis and ECAD software (Altium PCB Layout Design experience desired).
- Due to our Government contracts, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
- Proficient with standard electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Must be highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and good communication skills.
- Comfortable with at-a-desk design, hands-on laboratory work, and interfacing with manufacturing.
- Ability to demonstrate relationship building skills and be comfortable interacting with technical professionals.
- Effective, concise and clear communication to management on status of projects.
- Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions.
- You will be expected to support a product's electrical test design activity from requirements definition through development, implementation and validation.
- You will be expected to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Experience with SolidWorks or other MCAD software a plus.
- Experience with test software development using National Instruments LabVIEW/TestStand is a plus.
- RF Experience a plus.
- Experience with military communication equipment, VOIP, SIP, H.323 and/or Ethernet networking is a definite plus.
