About the Job
As a Production Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes for flexible electronic circuits. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, following detailed instructions, and maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and follow detailed route sheets and instructions.
- Interpret and apply blueprints and technical specifications as part of the production process.
- Use appropriate tools to apply adhesives, sealants, and other materials to components.
- Operate and monitor conveyor machinery, ensuring efficient material flow.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to meet industry standards such as IPC guidelines.
- Utilize Paradigm or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to manage and track work orders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by participating in and suggesting process enhancements.
- Cross-train in various skills beyond the initial assignment to support diverse production needs.
- Achieve certification as an operator to ensure compliance and capability in specialized tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing is a plus but not mandatory.
- Comfort with handling chemicals and potential exposure to fumes is essential.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comply with both customer specifications and IPC standards.
- Physical capability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform repetitive hand movements, and occasionally wear a respirator.
- Strong fine motor skills for detailed work involving small components.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet production demands.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to enter data accurately into software systems.
