The primary focus of this position will be to support the plant electrical controls, distribution, and instrumentation systems related to the facility and processing equipment in the plant. Primary tasks will include troubleshooting, repair, and performing preventative maintenance on all electrical, electronic, and related systems in an industrial production environment. This position will require ‘on-call’ coverage as needed to support operations.

Major Accountabilities:
-Preventative Maintenance
-Technical Troubleshooting and Repair
-PLC Programming and maintenance
-Attend, provide input and be involved in training, education, and meetings
-Work with outside resources to implement systems, solve issues and manage projects.
-Work closely with all maintenance team members to provide operational and maintenance support for all equipment systems and assets in the facility.
-General housekeeping and cleaning of assigned areas.
Skills Required:
-Basic electrical knowledge of control and power distribution systems is required.
-Working knowledge and proven experience using personal computers.
-The ability to read from and utilize electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting is required.
-The candidate will possess (the greater or equivalent) a 2 year electronics/electrical related degree or 3 years of recent industrial electrical experience in electronics/electrical support of a manufacturing process.
-Knowledge of process instrumentation along with process related PLC programming experience is desirable.
-The ability to work with others along with a self-starter attitude and proven ability to make decisions and affect change with very little direction will make the successful candidate most effective.
-Applicants must pass the company’s testing requirement for Electronic positions.
This role likely will train on days/swing shift (8 or 10 hour shifts) and will need to cover for vacation and staffing outages at times. It likely will rotate to a night role of 12's with more days off. Schreiber Foods, Tempe is a 24/7/365 days a year manufacturing facility. Candidate must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays and will receive additional compensation accordingly.
