Staff Finders Technical is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our clients team. This role will work collaboratively with design and test engineers to build test fixtures, debug circuitry, and perform equipment maintenance and testing. The role also includes monitoring lab test functions, performing corrective actions when necessary, and contacting the appropriate personnel for additional support as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set-Up and Testing: Configure and prepare dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.
- Inspection and Diagnosis: Perform inspections and tests on electronic assemblies under guidance to diagnose defects.
- Rework and Repair: Conduct rework on products in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Fixture and Circuitry Building: Build test harnesses, loads, and circuit boards to support product design needs.
- Documentation: Accurately document work completed and maintain all necessary records.
- Problem Solving and Communication: Notify the supervisor of any process or design issues and assist in implementing corrective actions. Communicate professionally with team members.
- Design Support: Design and construct engineering test fixtures as needed.
- Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as required by the supervisor or manager.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of one year in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering-related roles; three or more years of experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Ability to read engineering documents, such as schematics or diagrams.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Documentation and Assembly
- Maintain detailed records and accurately document processes.
- Proficient in assembling and disassembling products and maintaining lab equipment.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Perform mechanical tasks as needed and assist in training junior technicians.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Soldering Expertise
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Experience in any of the following is advantageous:
- 3D Printing, Electronics, Electrical Contracting, High Voltage Electrical Safety
- Electric Motor Repair, Automotive Repair (on-road/off-road)
- Communication and Networking Hardware, Computer Repair
- Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC, or Farming
