Electronics Design Engineer
This is a full-time position for our growing design engineering department.
Z-AXIS Inc. provides quality design, prototyping and contract manufacturing services for complex electronic products and electromechanical assemblies. These devices include LED drivers, sensing and measurement devices, laser drivers, machine controls, and electronic medical devices. We also design and manufacture commercial, industrial, medical custom power supplies under our BEAR Power Supplies brand. We are centrally located between Rochester and Syracuse in upstate NY minutes from the NYS Thruway. Our modern, locally owned 32,000-square-foot design and manufacturing center is ISO9001:2015 certified. We are unique since half of these products we designed in house which makes us a great asset to customers to go from concepts to manufacturing in one location. About one third of our business is manufacturing power supplies.

As a design engineer you be embraced by a skilled team and work through challenges together such as:
Working with a variety of interesting power supplies and other electronic products
Spend your time designing and debugging - rather than sitting in meetings
Teamwork - nobody is alone on difficult problems theres 3 other design engineers that are happy to share ideas.
Even the president and design engineering Manager are involved and have engineering degrees
Work in a collaborative environment with other electrical design engineers with analog, power, digital and microprocessor based designs
Mentor less experienced engineering personnel including co-ops and techs.
Make a difference in all that you do and not feel like a number
