ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN - Town of Cary

Help us safeguard our most vital resource: clean drinking water!  We are looking for a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our dedicated team at the Cary Apex Water Treatment Facility and its Remote Water Infrastructure.   In this essential role, you will take on the responsibility of installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced instrumentation and electrical/electronic control systems that ensure the quality and safety of our water supply. Your work will involve testing and implementing critical control systems, field instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA networks, directly impacting the reliable delivery of safe drinking water to our community. Our Electronics Technician positions are part of our established career ladder program that provides for the advancement of non-supervisory staff members in eligible positions who demonstrate increasing levels of knowledge, skills, and abilities.  

Anticipated Hiring Range:  $55,764-$68,494.  Compensation may be higher for candidates with exceptional qualifications.

 
 
Water Treatment facility positions are designated as "critical positions", meaning employees are required to report to work during adverse weather or other emergency situations, to ensure continued operation of the facility.
