Position: Elementary School Teacher - 1.0 Probationary (Posting number 2425-3211)
Location: State Road Elementary School
Start Date: November 11, 2024
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification in either Early Childhood Education B-2, Childhood Education 1-6, or Nursery-6
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
+ Previous teaching experience in elementary education
+ Strong ability to collaborate and be an effective member of a grade-level team
+ Exemplify the WCSD Essential Skills and Core Beliefs
+ Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
Responsibilities:
+ Provides comprehensive instruction in the District approved curriculum
+ Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the academic program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing
+ Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students
+ Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference
Salary: As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
