Elementary Teacher - Bartlett (2024-25 SY opening) - School Administrative Unit 9

POSITION TITLE:    Elementary Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. NH elementary teacher certification (K-6 or K-8) or proof of eligibility for NH certification

2. Bachelor’s degree or higher 

3. Classroom experience preferred but not required

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   In accordance with the Bartlett  Education Association (BEA) contract

JOB SUMMARY:  Provide for the social, emotional, and intellectual growth needs of students so they reach their full potential.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning. 
2. Plan and deliver academic instruction based on District curriculum and student need. 
3. Establish classroom procedures and manage student behavior in a manner consistent with child development. 
4. Coordinate with and support instructional teams and colleagues to enhance established practices and school climate. 
5. Maintain accurate records including monitoring of student learning to inform instruction and document progress. 
6. Communicate with students and families on learning objectives and student growth. 
7. Collaborate with district educators to enhance professional knowledge and practices. 
8. Participate in ongoing reflection and professional development for growth. 
9. Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications to meet student need. 
10. Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.
11. Complete other duties as assigned by the building principal

EVALUATION:  Performance will be evaluated by the principal or designee in accordance with District evaluation procedures.
