Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Email Specialist proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to play a pivotal role in our Consumer and Commercial marketing teams. In this position, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business growth through retention marketing efforts and our Commercial Business-to-Business (B2B) initiatives for dealers and landscapers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Retention Marketing (D2C Business):
- Develop and implement advanced email marketing strategies emphasizing personalized customer retention and engagement using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- Create personalized and targeted campaigns using Journey Builder to nurture existing customer relationships and drive repeat business.
- Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to enhance retention campaign effectiveness.
- Utilize A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to continuously refine and optimize email performance aiming to improve engagement and conversion rates, leading to increased purchase frequency and lifetime value.
- Collaborate with our eCommerce team to align with sales acquisition and promotional strategies and ensuring knowledge sharing and process efficiencies.
Lead Generation (Commercial Business):
- Develop and implement advanced email marketing campaigns tailored to the Commercial B2B lead generation goals.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create targeted content appealing to dealers and landscapers.
- Implement drip campaigns for effectively warming leads.
- Optimize lead nurturing workflows and automations in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to facilitate effective lead conversion.
- Create personalized and targeted campaigns using Journey Builder to nurture existing customer relationships and drive repeat business.
Integrated Support Across Business Units:
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks for content and rendering across various email clients and mobile devices.
- Schedule deployment and perform thorough post-deployment checks.
- Utilize A/B testing, user feedback and analytics to continuously refine and optimize email performance for improved kpi's.
- Develop new data-driven campaigns, and personalization initiatives.
- Implement audience segmentation and personalization strategies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems that provide deep insights into email performance and audience segmentation insights. Regularly present these findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders, turning complex data into actionable strategies for continuous improvement and growth.
- Be responsible for the ongoing optimization of all journeys, flows and content, ensuring they are not only aesthetically pleasing and functional but also effectively align with broader marketing and brand objectives.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging a combination of market research and analytical insights.
- Regularly review and interpret complex data sets to understand evolving customer preferences and behaviors. Use these insights to adapt and refine our digital strategies continuously, ensuring we remain relevant, engaging, and ahead of the curve.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, design and content creators to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Proactively engage with senior management to integrate email campaigns with broader sales and marketing objectives.
- Lead in new ideas, strategies fostering innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Email Marketing Production
- Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/SQL/SOQL
- Experience programming in AMPScript/SSJS (Or equivalent marketing software language experience)
- Microsoft Excel, Adobe Suite, Figma
- Marketing Cloud Email Certification is ideal, but not required; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
